Washington Park Development Overview

Who is behind Better Built Blocks?

Better Built Blocks is led by a team of Atlanta natives and community advocates who believe that where you live should reflect who you are. We work at the intersection of real estate, technology, and neighborhood stewardship — actively participating in community updates and supporting historic home renovations. Our mission is to help individuals and families plant roots in the vibrant neighborhoods along the Atlanta Beltline while ensuring that growth lifts the existing community rather than displacing it.

What is Better Built Blocks all about?

Better Built Blocks facilitates real estate transactions for clients moving into Atlanta, emphasizing transactional services that make the process clear, accessible, and community-minded. Our development work is focused exclusively within the Atlanta Beltline, a conscious choice to build in historically underinvested corridors and prevent the displacement of long-time residents as the city grows. Additionally, we offer community updates on our efforts towards historic home renovations. We fund our development pipeline through YourHomeBuoy, our home services technology platform, ensuring our community work remains self-sustaining and independent of outside capital.

Why should you work with Better Built Blocks?

We are building Atlanta the right way, particularly around the Atlanta Beltline. Every transaction we facilitate, every development we complete, and every block we improve is done with intention — staying within the Beltline Overlay, providing community updates, investing in technology that funds our mission, and prioritizing historic home renovations while treating displacement prevention as a non-negotiable principle.

Your home is one of the largest investments you’ll ever make, and maintaining it wisely is the key to preserving—and even increasing—its value over time. HomeBuoy takes the guesswork out of home maintenance by helping you prioritize the repairs and upgrades that matter most, so you can focus your time, energy, and budget where it has the biggest impact.

The platform evaluates your home’s needs based on urgency, cost, and long-term value, giving you a clear roadmap for action. Instead of reacting to problems as they arise or being pressured into unnecessary services, you can address issues before they escalate, prevent costly damage, and maintain your home’s structural integrity and appeal.

B3 also helps you make smarter decisions about upgrades and renovations. By highlighting improvements that add the most value, the platform ensures every project contributes to your home’s worth—whether you’re planning to sell or simply want to enjoy a safer, more comfortable space.

The result is confidence and control: you know what to tackle, when to tackle it, and how it benefits your investment.

HomeBuoy is designed to cut through the noise. It’s not always about greed, but the structure of the industry naturally pushes even small, simple fixes into costly service calls and bloated project scopes. That leaves most homeowners guessing, overspending, and never really sure what a fair price should be.

HomeBuoy shifts that balance.

By breaking down every maintenance task into clear difficulty levels, timelines, and real repair paths, HomeBuoy shows you exactly which projects you can confidently manage yourself. Instead of automatically calling in a pro for something that takes five minutes and a $6 part, you understand what’s truly required—saving you from unnecessary invoices and giving you a transparent window into the real cost of upkeep.

And when a job genuinely calls for skilled labor? HomeBuoy connects you with vetted, trusted local professionals and helps you understand what the project should cost before you ever pick up the phone. No blind quotes. No mystery pricing. No guessing.

The result is radical clarity:

You finally know what’s urgent, what’s optional, what’s DIY-friendly, and what’s worth paying a pro to handle.

HomeBuoy doesn’t just simplify home maintenance. It gives you the financial visibility.

HomeBuoy isn’t a tech idea dreamed up in a boardroom—it’s a tool shaped by the lived experiences, frustrations, surprises, and real-life lessons that every homeowner eventually faces. Because it’s built by homeowners, every feature is grounded in what actually happens inside a home, not what a contractor thinks you should do or what a product team assumes you need.

We know what it’s like to discover a mystery leak at 10 p.m., to spend hours Googling symptoms that never give a straight answer, to get conflicting quotes from contractors, or to simply forget a seasonal task because life is busy. We’ve been through the unexpected repairs, the slow-building issues, the “why didn’t anyone tell me this sooner?” moments. That perspective is baked into HomeBuoy’s design.

And that’s exactly what benefits you:

  • Clear, honest guidance instead of jargon.

  • Prioritized tasks that match how homeowners actually work—not overwhelming checklists that ignore real life.

  • Repair paths that make sense, because they were built after going through the same problems you’re facing.

  • Tools that save time and money, because we know firsthand how easily home maintenance can spiral.

  • Transparent expectations, helping you understand what’s normal, what’s not, and what’s worth worrying about.

HomeBuoy feels intuitive because it reflects real homeownership, not theory. It understands the difference between “urgent” and “annoying,” between a weekend DIY project and something that truly requires a pro. It’s built with empathy, clarity, and the kind of wisdom that only comes from having lived it.

The result?

A home management platform that finally works the way homeowners actually live—making your home easier, clearer, and less stressful to care for.

HomeBuoy was designed with one goal in mind: to make home maintenance and management intuitive and accessible for everyone, whether you’re a DIY enthusiast, a first-time homeowner, or a property manager juggling multiple units. We understand that homeownership comes with enough complexity already—your tools shouldn’t add to it.

The platform’s interface is clean, straightforward, and easy to navigate. Tasks are organized logically, priorities are clearly highlighted, and instructions are delivered in plain, actionable language. There’s no guessing, no confusing menus, and no unnecessary technical jargon.

For DIYers, HomeBuoy breaks repairs into manageable steps so you can confidently take projects into your own hands. For first-time homeowners, it serves as a roadmap, guiding you through what’s urgent, what’s seasonal, and what’s optional. For property managers, it provides a bird’s-eye view of multiple properties, making scheduling, tracking, and communication seamless.

The result? Everyone gets the clarity and confidence to take action without frustration. No matter your experience level, HomeBuoy transforms homeownership from overwhelming to approachable, giving you a platform that just works—so you can focus on your home, your tenants, or simply your life, without getting lost in complexity.
